"Sun Wood" was inspired by the beautiful woods near my home in Summer and is a place I go walking often, sunlight filters through the leaves creating dramatic shadows while the eye wanders over the scene to the abstract marks in the foreground. This sunny painting is a lovely reminder of leafy dappled glades where bluebells grow and the scent of flowers carries on the breeze.
