This painting comes from a lovely wood near my home in the Peak District. Sunlight pours through a beautiful glade creating dappled shadows and light, while the dark trees and mellow shadows contrast with the bright tones and delicate Spring leaves. A beautiful reminder of this fresh time of year in the woods the colours being fresh blue and the scent of flowers on the air.
