"Secret Forest, Shadows and Light" explores the woodland as a place experienced through perception, memory and the shifting qualities of light. Rather than depicting a specific landscape, the work draws on the sensation of entering a forest, the gradual adjustment of the eye, the fragmented glimpses between leaves, and the feeling of moving between areas of shadow and illumination.
